Overview

Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its narrow lanes are easiest to understand with a guide who grew up in them. You walk past carved Zanzibari doors, mosques, Hindu temples and old merchant houses.

The tour covers the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, the Anglican Cathedral built on the site of the last slave market, Darajani market and the house where Freddie Mercury was born.
